چکیده
This paper gives a brief survey of the design of masks for Hadamard spectrometers and image scanners. Three different criteria are described for judging a mask, as well as techniques for choosing masks that are not too far from the optimum.

Computational Strategies for the Generation of Equivalence Classes of Hadamard Matrixes
Hadamard matrices are useful in Hadamard transform spectroscopy and in the construction of optimal chemical designs.'-8 The use of these matrices in spectroscopy has led to the advent of Hadamard transform spectroscopy3 which employs spectroscopic multiplexing techniques and is a powerful tool for the analysis of complex spectra. Besides Hadamard matrices are useful in chemical designs and bloc...
متن کاملWeighing Designs and Methods of Construction
Abstract: It is difficult to weigh the light objects by weighing balance accurately when measured individually. If several light objects are weighed in groups rather than individually then the precision of the estimates increases quite considerably. There are two types of balances one is chemical balance and other is spring balance. Spring balance is similar when only one pan of chemical balanc...
متن کاملSystematic errors in Hadamard transform optics.
This paper analyzes the systematic errors in Hadamard transform optical instruments caused by moving masks, incorrect mask alignment, faulty mask fabrication, missing data, diffraction, etc. and describes techniques for reducing or eliminating these errors. In a great many cases the behavior of the instrument can be characterized by a single matrix equation of the form eta = TWa + e, where the ...
متن کاملNew orthogonal designs from weighing matrices
In this paper we show the existence of new orthogonal designs, based on a number of new weighing matrices of order 2n and weights 2n − 5 and 2n−9 constructed from two circulants. These new weighing matrices were constructed recently by establishing various patterns on the locations of the zeros in a potential solution, in conjunction with the power spectral density criterion. We also demonstrat...
متن کاملHigher dimensional orthogonal designs and applications
When n2 elements are given, they can be arranged in the form of a square; similarly, when n8 elements (g ≥ 3 an integer) are given, they can be arranged in the form of a g-dimensional cube of side n (in short, a g-cube). The position of the elements can be indicated by g suffixes. Disciplines Physical Sciences and Mathematics Publication Details Hammer, J and Seberry, J, Higher dimensional orth...
